We went to a place called Toys Of Our Lives today in Verona. I was looking for a little add-in for Sweetie's Valentines Day present since she doesn't really like candy.
I was hoping to find some Bob's Burgers Funkos for a reasonable price, and I was amazed at the volume and depth of their selection. No Bob's Burgers, though.
Some of them were selling for upwards of $100, and I wanted to ask the other people looking at them if they'd ever heard of Beanie Babies. I mean, if you buy a toy because you love it, great. If you're buying it as an investment, I think you have to consider first that you are driving up prices for people who just want the toy as a toy (looking at you #AFOL) and second whether it will hold its value.
I mean, for how long will people want to buy Action Comics #1? So long as people are buying it for the cultural impact of it, or the love of it, a comic will keep its value pretty well.
