Beautiful piece - hand carved genuine Italian shell - her hair is impressive and her nose is beautiful. The inside filigree work is very impressive. Most with is age are generally flawed by now - this one is mint. On the outer flat frame there are handcarved diamond cuts. This one measures 1 7/8" long and by 1 1/2" across. Has the original Victorian middle catch roll over clasp which closes securely. Of course this is the ony one I have - once sold gone forever.
